Engineering achievements are equally important .Heard from some friend in KSEW they are working on some really interesting projects.I hope one of them is small indigenous VLS system even for corvettes (Like German Sa'ar 6 " ) just imagine all our corvettes too with 16 cell VLS both for Surface and air .btw i m not greedy 8 cell wala VLS bhi chalay gaa

Yes with 16 cell VLS and modular systems i-e able to switch b/w anti surface to anti air missions, smaller corvettes can pack a massive punch with a substantially smaller radar signature and crew compliment.

Can your friends shed any light if we modified the torpedo tubes of A90B to launch baburs?

One thing PN could do better, is get AW101 / NH90 / S-92 type helos to replace Sea kings.

For the Z-9's a very good replacement would be AW139M. PA & {AF already operate them, so PN could benefit from it as well.

Sir. When will the first J15 come to Pakistan? They will be newly made or PLAF is giving from its own operational jets.

New built, the first ones were supposed to start coming by end of June, but with the Covid-19 issue, August or Septemeber.

Another issue is that with Pakistan specific upgrades, this is a better platform than the one PLAN operates, so with a proper battery of tests, this deal is understandable.

One thing PN could do better, is get AW101 / NH90 / S-92 type helos to replace Sea kings.

However we need a new helo to the MILGEM based Jinnah class frigate plus the Type054A/Ps.
AW139 or AW159 based helo makes sense. We have a relationship with Leonardo and the helos can be customized to incorporate PN datalinks etc. If substantial numbers are bought (keeping in mind AF/PA future procurements), maybe we can get some sort of offset or MRO facility in Pakistan.

I fail to understand why haven't they done this till now? They know they will be buying, so why not do a deal like the Pentagon did with Sikorsky?

Exactly! shortsightedness. They have been buying 5-10 each year and liking the aircraft, so why not review future plans and put a bigger contract with flexible configs. We will buy 50 over the next 5 years. Some could be AF/PA/PN or even civil GoP use.

May be some working will be in process, as thay know Atak and zulus not comings so thay must working on attack helis, so might thay will working on utility helis too. China already have z19 Z20 ready, might thay go Z10M as well
Pervious thay eye on T625 after Atak but that dream is in deep water now.

These are some depts that have a requirement for helos, can you think of how many they need, in the next 10 years, and are there any other depts that I missed?
