Saudi Arabia and Indonesia have inked defence cooperation on arms manufacturing and aviation related platforms, any progress made so far?

Not much info about it yet, many JV will come with results after 5 years mostly. Every details still behind closed doors at this moment. But like the deal say I think it will more about arm sales, transfer of technology and a possibility to manufacture Pindad hardwares in Saudi such as Anoa APCs or SS rifles. I will post an updates related to this matter soon when I got info.

  Pitch Black is the Royal Australian Air Force's largest and most complex exercise in 2016. Exercise Pitch Black is being conducted from RAAF Base Darwin and RAAF Base Tindal from 29 July until 19 August 2016. This year's exercise features up to 2500 personnel and 115 aircraft from participating nations including Australia, Canada, French (New Caledonia), Germany, Indonesia, Netherlands, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, and the United States. Exercise Pitch Black aims to further develop offensive counter air; air-land integration; and intelligence, reconnaissance and surveillance, as well as foster international co-operation with partner forces.

Ukraine sent the first batch of new BTR-4M wheeled armoured vehicles to Indonesia

The Ukrainian Defense company has sent the first batch of new BTR-4M wheeled armoured vehicles for Indonesian Marine.

The vessel Texel with Ukrainian BTR-4M wheeled armoured vehicles was spotted by Yörük Işık during the transit of Bosphorus. Earlier «Ukroboronprom» won the bids of the Indonesian Defense Ministry for the wheeled armored vehicles.

Indonesia’s needs for wheeled armoured personnel carriers are a total of 55 units. The armored vehicles are for the Marines, to replace the aging Indonesian BTR-50.

The new version of BTR-4M have Deutz engine and received the upgrade package giving it fully amphibious capabilities. The new armoured amphibious vehicle can swim at sea and negotiate inland water obstacles without any configuration changes.
