Delivery of Leopard 2 RI MBTs to Indonesia to be completed early in 2017

Indonesia has taken delivery of 24 of the 61 Leopard 2 RI (Republic of Indonesia) main battle tanks (MBTs) ordered from Rheinmetall Defence in December 2012, sources told IHS Jane's on 8 September.

The balance of 37 MBTs would be delivered in two tranches, concluding in March 2017, the sources added.

The tanks form part of a USD280 million contract encompassing the Leopard 2 RIs, 42 Leopard 2+ MBTs - standard Leopard 2 A4s with the addition of a bustle-mounted air conditioning system - 42 upgraded Marder 1A3 infantry fighting vehicles, and 11 armoured recovery and engineering vehicles from surplus German Army stocks.

Theres a rumors this one actualy an export version for a country in the middle east. However not much information which country it is since Indonesian never use desert colour for their military vehicles.

in Indonesia the only Spec Ops unit who already operates this LTV is Denbravo 90 anti terror from Paskhas TNI-AU (Indonesian Air Force)

Thanks brother. I feel the same way like you do when the firstime I saw that images. I think we're all should be more frequent to post something like this. The other side of a soldiers, not just tools, weapon systems and machinery things.
Soldiers are live and life as a human too. They have a part of their lives no different with peoples like you, me and the rest of us, no matter what religion they are. Being a soldier is just a job. Other than that they are just a humble humans and should respect to it's creator.
