"Announced by Parliament" as in Verbal diarrhea by PML-N leader Ayaz Sadiq, and him alone. You make it sound like it was a unanimous statement by the Parliament.
He also said Gen Qamar Bajwa and other army heads were quivering in their boots. Would you believe that too?
I believe there's more to the story... it all started with disarray in Indian camps, when they started to loose jets in a battel, where they can't identify friend from foe and got no clue why their radars were jammed.
It was than, when some ultimate authority in Pakistan's power structure, decided to bail out Indians.
At this moment, it was crystal clear to Indians, that if PAF pilots are not leashed, they may rout Indian forces. There were not many willing Indian pilots to airborne, as the situation of theater got clearer to them.
PAF themselves came to know of real deal, after landing on ground. Which was... PAF had complete air superiority!
Just check the timing of calling off the operation swift retort.....
Who was that authority?
This, definitely can't be the thinking of a soldier... most definitely not of a captain.
Next, What's the sensible explanation for releasing Abhinandan, in haste? How a politician having dubious advisors, was allowed to decide on PoW? How come all (Zardari, Imran , Sharif, Bajwa) clapped together, so efficiently and seamlessly!!!!!! There are many alarms.
PMLN is one party to the complex power brokerage, and that's what its all about... POWER & AUTHORITY, in a country where $billions land quarterly in shape of remittances, it make sense!
There's a long list and long history of treasonous ineptness at highest office, as far Imran Khan is concerned, his short comings and comprised national /international connections were over looked by Bajwa, ever since his extension!!!!
Imran Khan has long history of spitting hate against army, when he was in opposition. I haven't seen PMLN reaching there yet.
Imran Khan spoke against Pak army, while sitting in India, and in follow-up of Abhinandan's relase, he stated that 'should he start war with India' He as well tried to justify his actions by stating that 'solution to Kashmir problem lies in talks'.
