I didn't expect him to say one thing or the other but what I found interesting is the comment that essentially means that J10 does not bring anything new/more than what JF17 already has rather its the J10 that has adopted new ideas/technology from JF17.

Bigger engine / more payload, ability to carry longer range AAM's, bigger combat radius, more loiter time, bigger radar, built in IRST = Nothing New. THAT really makes sense
